Vancouver Aug 6 Canada’s total trade with Japan has grown elevenfold in sixteen years and sevenfold in eight. Hon Herbert M Marler Canada’s first minister to Tokyo told a Vancouver luncheon that Japan-Canada relations should be deep and cooperative. He cited wheat flour timber fish and metals as growth sectors and urged expanded trade with North America’s share rising from 80 million of 370 million imports in 1927. He stressed joint effort by merchants and exporters to enlarge the trade balance.
