Hankow and Nanking Reach Cooperation Accord

A wireless dispatch from Hankow in Anhwei Province says the Hankow and Nanking armies have agreed to cooperate and that Chiang Kai Shek’s forces will return to Nanking soon. Chiang previously led the Hankow southern nationalist troops before breaking with Hankow over alleged communist influence and the opposition government in Nanking after Shangtu's capture.

Hail Reported in Hilda and Schuler Districts

Word was received in the city yesterday of heavy damage from hail in the Hilda and Schuler districts. A fifty percent loss is reported on a number of farms. Local hail insurance agents are on the ground assessing damage and are not expected back in the canyon tomorrow.

Swimming Gala Draws Big Crowd at Medicine Hat Pool

A large crowd attended the Medicine Hat Swimming Club gala last night. Young swimmers competed in races for 18 and under, 4 yards, and 34 yards, with Arnold Fulton, Kathleen Connor, and Josephine McCully among the winners. Three men and a woman robbed the Capitol Jewelry Store at 27 St. Catharines St. West in Montreal. They looted about 30 000 dollars in diamonds after forcing the clerks to the rear, binding and gagging them, and escaped in a waiting car.
