E E Taylor of Calgary says Bow Island business group reports the Canadian Pacific Railway Co has struck a copious flow of petroleum in one well. CPR says it does not control the wells as they were sold to the Prairie Gas and Fuel Company. Superintendent Cameron has not heard of the strike. New four room cottage on Balmoral Street offered for sale with $200 down and $20 monthly payments.

Eight year old Adam Fisher of Josephburg was instantly killed when a lightning bolt struck him as he and his siblings played inside a home. His mother J Fishery nursing a two month old baby sat nearby as the family endured a sudden deafening crack and electric force that felled the child but spared the others.
