British forces to train at Suffield Base in Canada

Canada and the United Kingdom sign a 10 year agreement allowing more than 6000 British troops to train at the Defence Research Establishment at Suffield Alberta from May to November 1972. A Canadian base will host 600 to 1000 soldiers per session with costs borne by Britain.

Senate approves 250 million loan guarantee for Lockheed

The Senate narrowly authorized a government loan guarantee of 250 million to Lockheed Aircraft Corporation to prevent bankruptcy and keep work on the L 1011 Tristar jetliner.
