The discovery was made by George Remple, caretaker of the building, during a noise complaint investigation.

Montreal as Bertrand Bergeron a 23 year old rookie constable from Outremont is held criminally responsible for the slaying of Anne Czechowski a 21 year old married woman he had been living with for a week. The shooting occurred last night in an apartment they rented in the east end. Bergeron called police saying it happened while he was playing with his .38 revolver claiming he fired when the next chamber was empty. Coroner's inquest ongoing.
