Grandma Quat tum of Comrey marked her 101st birthday at her daughter's home with a large family gathering. relatives gathered from nearby towns for a birthday cake with 101 candles and radio greetings. Born Sarah Marger in Norway on August 1 1837 she moved to the United States and Canada and settled in Comrey. She has seven children twenty nine grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren. She remains active in memory and rug making despite fading eyesight.

Girl Rider Dies After Cheyenne Stampede Race
Mrs. Reva Grey, 35, a twice crowned Cheyenne cowgirl champion, died after a half mile race at the Frontier Days event in Cheyenne. Her horse with Gladys Pattinson collided at a turn, throwing both riders as the animals fell onto them. Pattinson, with a broken collar bone, is recovering. Grey’s home was Durango, Colorado.
