Twenty British soldiers assigned to unload a cargo of war material for Poland at Danzig have revolted and were arrested by the British commander. Poles delivering the report say the action followed dockworker refusals and sympathizers gathered, with rumors of two British deaths during detention security.
In Dallas on August 2 a judge ruled icemen selling ice under weight would be fined ten dollars per pound to customers, setting a record price for the commodity in the city.
