Infected-state horses banned. others must be stabled 21 days before reentry. Disease spread by insects causes sores but is not life threatening.

The delay affects transfer to Henna Quebec and Canadian Blood Services and risks extending beyond September 1, 1998. Pamela Huff, lawyer for infected hemophiliacs, says the delay won’t jeopardize the Red Cross. Health Canada declined to comment on steps to protect the blood system.
Leonard Granberg a night technician at Boeing Canada Technology found nearly ten million dollars in his bank balance after an ATM withdrawal of 20 from a Royal Bank teller. He spent one day with the sum before a second withdrawal erased the funds.
