Megill Hanged For Shaunavon Child Murder In Regina
William Hugh Megill was executed at Regina jail after confessing to the June 27 1928 murder of 10 year old Ann Goff of Shaunavon. He spent his final day writing letters to relatives staff and his spiritual adviser, and expressed faith in Christ and forgiveness. The warden called Megill gentle and tub resistant to bitterness, with interment planned in Marham Ontario.
