Lightning Strikes House Killing Mrs Hill During Alberta Storm
Lethbridge reports a violent hail storm with a seven mile wide track and over 20 miles long. Mrs Hill of Moose Jaw, visiting her parents Mr and Mrs E Kessler of Iron Springs, was killed when a lightning bolt struck the house Tuesday evening. Hail damage ranged from 10 to 100 percent and many windows were shattered along the northern edge of the Lethbridge irrigation district. The storm is described as the worst in years for the area.
