Blizzard hits southern Alberta disrupts events in Medicine Hat

A spring blizzard dumped 40 to 65 cm on southern Alberta causing road closures and power outages. Calgary Stampeders players halted a planned Medicine Hat Mall appearance while other sports events including high school baseball and tennis exhibitions were postponed. The 25th Rattler Run drew about 350 participants despite the wind, and a Campbell Conference in Medicine Hat was shortened due to travel disruptions.
