Bullwinkle Moose Rescued From Pool Near Amethyst Harbor
In Thunder Bay Ontario a young moose nicknamed Bullwinkle was found trapped in about 20 centimetres of water in a summer home pool at Amethyst Harbor. A caretaker and later Ministry of Natural Resources workers used a winch to lift the 180 kilogram animal from the water. Bullwinkle’s flying-squirrel partner Rocky was missing.
