Women Adjudged Insane Again Up On Murder Charge

Two women, Pearl Maculuck and Mrs. Julia Currie, confined in the asylum, are to be brought before spring assizes on murder charges. Maculuck, previously charged in 1923 with murdering Mike Maculuck, was declared insane and sent to the asylum. Currie was charged with murdering her sixteen month old infant and also deemed insane by alienists.

Settle Mullen Case Involving Fatal Train Accident

The suit of Mrs. Mullen against the C P R for 40000 dollars over her husband James Mullen’s death has been settled with substantial damages paid by the railway. Mullen, a brakeman, was killed at Barnwell on November 24 when run over by his train’s engine.

Liverpool cables fell 1-2 pence, domestic export wheat around 400000 bushels worked over night mainly Manitobas. Rye offerings were light though prices followed the Polish market.
