Peace Air improves service for Medicine Hat Edmonton flights
Peace Air passengers flying between Medicine Hat and Edmonton will no longer need to change terminals in Calgary. CEO Albert Cooper says the move brings Edmonton closer to Medicine Hat and enables same day travel for business meetings. The airline also operates a twin-engine King Aircraft from Medicine Hat and offers charter service.

Cabbie found dead in trunk in Edmonton taxi
Edmonton police found the body of cab driver Hassan Yusuf Mahamood, 41, in the trunk of a Yellow Cab last in service Friday. Tips led officers to a northeast Edmonton parking lot where the vehicle was located this week. Police said the body had likely been in the trunk for more than a day.

Fifth charged in death of girl 13 in Edmonton case
A 16-year-old Edmonton girl was charged with first degree murder in the beating death of 13-year-old Nina Courtepatte whose body was found April 4 on the Edmonton Springs Resort golf course fairway. Paris hotel fire kills at least 13 in central district
A central Paris hotel on Rue de Provence was engulfed in flames early today killing 13 and injuring at least 57. Fire officials said responders rescued guests as panicked occupants leaped from windows to escape smoke and heat in the 9th arrondissement, a tourist area.
