Town Council Adopts Waterworks Rate Revisions
The adjourned town council meeting approved amended waterworks rates replacing bath and tub charges with a public bath house rate. Tenders for waterworks connections were opened from Williamson Rae Tilsley Bishop Greenwood B C and others with multiple pipe sizes and prices. The union joint was substituted for wiped joint on corporation cock and inspections of ferry noted with McBurney paid for two checks. A range of routine orders on property assessment, police matters, and health reports were moved forward.

Also urged are a Medicine Hat district sheep ranching reserve, public lease notices specify animal type, possible creation of a Live Stock Exchange, and a wolf bounty inspector. Additional items call for beef shipments of estrayed cattle, bull removal rules, and leaseholder purchase options. A committee was named to locate water sources and report, and Bray was chosen as Medicine Hat delegate with travel costs covered by the association.

Quarantine Lifted After Smallpox Watch In Northwest
The spring outbreak prompted a quarantine around an isolated hospital that burned. Two policemen, initially quarantined for eruptions, were released after vaccination showed strong immunity.
