Medicine Hat council heard that the 2015 mill rate will fall by 2.5 to 3.4 percent for most property classes, but higher assessments boost the average home’s total tax bill by about 3.6 percent or $72. The average home valued at $245,640 will face an annual rise of $72.41, with municipal increases partially offset by education levies and the Cypress View Foundation.
