Car crash at Mr Lube injures two in Saanich

A 71 year old driver accelerated from a Mr Lube outlet sending his car across a parking lot. It struck Capital City Cellular injuring two men and pinning one against a wall. Fire crews freed the pinned worker as others were hospitalized in stable condition.

Reform party tops spending in Charlottetown referendum campaign

Elections Canada figures show the Reform Party Referendum Committee spent just under 393000 in the Oct 26 referendum on the Charlottetown accord. The party donated 383000 with CFRN TV as the only other official donor. Yes committee Canada Committee spent 7.2 million of 7.4 million allowed.

Westray data sent for provincial inquiry probe

Ottawa plans to ship 11000 pages of Westray coal project files to the provincial inquiry into the May blast that killed 26 miners. The batch excludes cabinet discussions and solicitor-client information but third party records could be subpoenaed.

Iranian deported over embassy attack in Ottawa case
