Soviet official to leave Canada amid technology probe

An external affairs spokesman said Andrei Plavinski, a Soviet Embassy official, will leave Canada after his tour ends as part of the Prague episode involving Mikhail Abramov and restricted technology. Abramov was given 10 days to depart. Trudeau suggested a second Soviet official may also be leaving.

Irvine council byelection nominees named for April 30

Paris diplomat shot dead in apartment lobby

Israeli diplomat Yacov Barsimantov, 43, was killed in the lobby of his Paris apartment as his wife and eight year old daughter looked on. Police attributed the attack to Palestinian groups, with the Israeli ambassador naming the PLO as origin of the violence.

Marines Escape Invasion On Falkland Islands Report
