One of the most interesting events In the social affairs, of the. season took place this, morning* in Saint Joseph's church where at 9 o'clock Miss Alice Donovan ‘became the bride of Edward Miller, of this city. The -bride is the daughter of Chief of Police and Mrs. William, Donovan and 3s very well known here, being- a graduate of the Shelton High school of the class of 1919 and for a few years employed, as stenographer in the office of Oates Brothers in this city. The .groom, also- a graduate of Shelton High school, is a teller in the Shelton Trusit company. .Rev, Andrew. Plunkett, pastor of the church, officiated. A. nuptial mass was celebrated after the marriage. The bride was dressed ill whife and wore s a bridal veil of whUe, Miss Anna Donovan,.a cousin of the bride, was the bridesmaid and the best man was-' Mason Miller, a brother to the groom; and a midshipman a-t the IT. S. Naval academy at Annapolis. The ushers were Dennis Donovan.-and William Shea of this city, and two friends of- the best man from Annapolis.After the wedding ceremony the bridal party and immediate friends cf both families went to the Hotel Clark where a wedding breakfast was served and immediately afterwards the couple left,..on a honeymoon trip, with destination unannounced. On their return they will, make their hrfme in this city.
