Juanita Peters, Scales Are Married in PlainviezvPLAINVIEW, Sept. 13 (Special) — Palms and whitegladioli formed the setting in the chapel of the First Baptist Church, when marriage vows were exchanged recently byMiss Juanita Jean Peters and Joe Warren Scales. The double-ring service was read by Dr. Franklin Swanner.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Peters, 1321 Utica, and the bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Scales, 608 Denver.Bill Scales of Midland, brotherof the bridegroom, was best man.Ushers were Arthur Rampy of Lubbock and Clifford Hewett,Plainview.The maid-of-honor was the bride’s sister, Miss Billie Peters. -She wore a waltz-length dress of n rose-colored brocaded taffeta, b Her headdress was a Juliet cap p and she carried a bouquet of p white roses. JMrs. Inez Ferrell, organist a played the wedding marches and | g accompanied Ross Cass, who sane “Because” and “The Lord'sIct(nelt;atlt;h1IFlieifiaPrayer.”Mr. Peters gave his daughter in marriage. Her waltz-iength bridal dress was of brocaded taffeta, designed with molded bodice extending below the waistline. The fitted sleeves terminated fn points at the wrist, and the portrait neckline was outlined with a wide shaped fold of self-ma-lerial.For Ihe w'edding trip to New Mexico, the bride chose a wine cotton suit and black accessories. The couple is at home at 1401 W.11th, Amarillo.Mrs. Scales was a senior at Texas Tech, Lubbock, at the time of her marriage. She is a member of Deha Delta Sorority. Mr. Scales is a graduate of Tech. where he was a member of Phi Delta Thcta Fraternity. He is associated with the J. C. PenneyCo.The bridegroom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Scales, were hosts for the rehearsal dinner, which was served at the Alcove.
