TYHG IS MYSTERIOUS. ISays He Never Married Elizabeth W.Tyng,Who Is Said to Be Suing for Divorce.A queer story came on from New York yesterday. It said that Stephen H. Tyng,I the well-known lawyer of this city, and a member of the firm of Tyng Converse, had been libelled for divorce In New York by hi* wife, Elizabeth W. Tyng.I The case called for a corespondent, j and the person named with Mr. Tyng was Mrs. Hattie C. Peckham. Mrs. Tyng says that her husband has been living with Mrs. Peckham In Lexington since March,1894. She was said to pose as Mr. Tyng’shousekeeper.When a Post reporter called yesterday at 64 Devonshire street, where Mr. Tyng’sahlngle” Is hung out, he found a fine j looking man sitting with his feet cocked up on a desk and his spectacles down on the tip of his nose.Yes, he was Mr. Tyng, and he seemed entirely at ease over this matter, not ■ I even taking his feet down when the re-1 porter stated hi» business. “I do not see,’-I said he, “that the public has any business t to know my affairs, but I will say just [ two things.
