• People who- jethrned from the world’s fair feeling dissatisfied because they bad not been able to see all of it, visited the First Presbyterian church Friday evening, where a “world's fair” social was held, and took another look *t the great eights. The visitors entered the fair through) the regulation tum-stile and were at once greeted with the old familiar signs of “Keep to the Right,” “Orange Cider” “Exit,” “Hands Off.” The Columbian guards, represented by Messrs. Arthur Dougal, GuyBeU, Charles Olds, Walter Seavey, Fred Gregg and Fred Deihl, were there in all their glory, ordering people to Keep off the Grass,” arresting chair boys for overloading their conveyances and answering questions in a very realistic manner. Mrs. S. M. Foster, with a corps of. waiters fust from Chicago, was in charge of the “Wellington Restaurant.” Messrs. Will Probasco, G. W. Beers and Si M. Foster, for a consideration of five cents, conveyed the visitors to any part of the grounds in wheelbarrow rolling chairs. Misses Stella Gregg and Celia Higgins dispensed orange cider. The chief attraction of the evening, however, was the “Midway Plaisance” which opened at 8 'o’clock with a clash of Javanese music, furnished by Miss Winnie Dougal and Master Ralp Yarnelle. Master Dan Beers in “Cairo street,” invited the visitors to take a ride on the hobbyhorse donkeys. Mies Maud Harrison sold “Bum:Bum,” and Mr. John Dou-gall appeared as the Hindo juggler and performed marvelous feats of legerdemain. Mieses Belle McClure and Mary Knight were life-like wax figures. The Congress of Beauties, near the Ferris wheel, drew the largest crowd and represented by Misses Myra Smith, Kate Bowen, Edith Yarnelle, Helen O’Rourke, Lottie Grimes, Mary Moffat, Bessie Cherry, Madge Lathrop and Emma Ash. Master Worden Pyke acted as the guide through Midway and the “boys in red” sold last year’s almanacs as catalogues. The fair closfed at 10 o’clock with receipts and attendance almost equal to that on Chicago day.
