Engaged Couple Honored WithPartyA lovely announcement party was held on Saturday evening in the home of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Fonville introducing Miss Linda Salisbury, bride-elect of Chuck Miller of Pecos.Hosting the affair was Mr. and Mrs. J.F. Fonville and Mr. and Mrs. Woody Merritt.The serving table was laid with a white lace table cloth with a centerpiece of whiteshag mums and purple flowerscentered with a large white candle.Flower arrangements were placed throughout the house, with a lovely arrangement of peach roses in the den. The patio was decorated with potted mums.A gift of a sterling cake knife was given to the honored couple by the hostesses.Members of the houseparty included Mrs. Jimmy Ivey, Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Fonville, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Cooks*’1 MrCoy Clark, Miss Mona Miller, Mr. and Mrs. W.M. Capshaw, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Miller Jr.Refreshments of fruit punch, assorted dips and chips and cookies were served to guests and the engaged couple. Out of town guests included Mr. and Mrs. Bob Segulia, Ronny Daniels, and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Moore, all of Lubbock. Mr. and Mrs. S.V,'. Miller of Ft. Stockton, and Mr. and Mrs Bob Sprague of Burkburnett, aunts and uncles of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Donnell, of Dallas, and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Averitt of El Paso.Miss Salisbury will become the bride of chuck Miller on July 24 in the St. Francis Episcopal church in Houston. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon a. Salisbury of Houston. The grooms parents are Mr. and Mrs. George Miller of Pecos.The couple are students at Texas Tech and will both graduate in July. Mr. Miller will receive a degree in mechanical engineering, while Miss Salisbury will receive a B.S. degree as a physical education major.
