VanDerKar-StowellHOOSICK FALLS,N.Y. — Miss Judith Marie Stowell became the bride of Gerald James Van Der Kar at an 11 a.m. double ring ceremony performed June 20 by the Rev. Lawrence J. Gerrlty, OSA, in the Church of the Immaculate Conception.The bride Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Klrtland Stowell of Buskirk, and her husband is the son of Mrs. Ruth Van Der Kar and the late Arthur Van DerKar.Mr. Stowell gave his daughter in marriage. She wore a bouffant gown of silk organza, with lace sequins and organza appliques, fashioned with batteau neckline and a tiered ruffled lack extending into a chapel train.A forehead cascade of orange blossoms and seed pearls held a silk illusion veil. The bridal cascade was of white carnations, mums and baby’s breath.Miss Barona McKeon of Hoo-slck Falls was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Sylvia Steenberg of Troy, the bride's cousin, and Miss Sheila Haviland of Buskirk.Best man was Edward Powers Jr. Ushers were Michael Allard and John Hickey Jr.Mrs. Stowell for her daughter’s wedding chose a blue and white sheath with blue accessories. The bridegroom’s mother wore a blue and white print dress with white accessories. Both chose corsages of roses.Eagles Hall was the scene of a reception for 1G0 guests.Out of town guests were fromAndrlckMrs. Gerald VanDerKarmont, Flushing, Newburgh and Troy.After a trip to Canada the couple will live in this area and Lakehurst, N.J.Mrs. Van Der Kar was graduated from Hoosic Valley Central School, attended Albany Comptometer School, and now attends Troy School of Beauty Culture. Mr. Van Der Kar, a graduate of Hoosick Falls Central School, is serving in the Navy.
