The marriage of Miss Janet Faye Sanders to Oran Dale Reed was solemnized at a late evening ceremony Saturday in her home. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Sanders of Linton. Mr. Reed is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Reed, also of Linton. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. W. F. Duncan of the Assembly of God church with Miss June Reed and Otis Reed, sister and brother of the bridegroom acting as atten dants. Miss Sanders wore a street length dress of chocolate brown with green accessories and a cor sage of white carnations. Immediately following the ce remony a reception was held at the Sanders home which was decorated with summer flowers. The serving table was centered with a three tiered wedding cake topped with a miniature bride and bridegroom. The bride graduated from the Linton Stockton High School in 1948. Mr. Reed served two years in Japan with the United States Marine Corps during World War II and now is employed with the Baxley Appliance store. Those attending the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Sanders, parents of the bride, and, son, Dickie, Mr. and Mrs. Claud Reed, parents of the bridegroom, and family, Otis, June and LaDona, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Mockerman, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Watt and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wonga Myers and sons Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Geatches, Miss Peggy Woodruff, and Lee Pope.
