Crowder of this city were inaried last night at 10 o’clock at the Baptist parsonage in California, the lev. L. E. Lamb officiating. Only members of the bride’s family were present at the ceremony. The marri-ge was announced to take plac in this city on Tuesday, but upon visiting thebride’s mother, Mrs. N. E. Newton and Mr. Newton in California last evening, Miss Green and Mr. Crowd-decided to surprise theirsurprise tneir many friends by advancing the date of the event. Mra. Crowder is a young worn an of distinct charm and of attrac-•»tive brunette type. She is well known in California circles, where she is u favorite among her associates. Mr. Crowder has for the past five month* held a responsible position with the Workmen’s Compensation Commission being its legal adviser, and has a host of friends in the community.
