Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy RenkenWed at Immanuel LutheranImmanuel Lutheran Church In Akron was the setting of May 26 at 7 p.m. for the wedding of Beverly Ann Friske daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Friske of Akron to Jimmy Allen Renken, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Renken of Le Mars.Pastor David Roy officiated the double ring ceremony in the presence of relatives and friendvS at an altar decorated with blue and green daisies and white carnations.The bride escorted by her father, chose a floor length empire waist satin gown overlashed with chantilly lace and daisy trim. It featured a full train fastened in the back with a. satin bow. The dress was accented with a hand cared cameo pin fromItaly. The veil was a Venice lace caplet adorned with dainty loops of seed pearls rolled organza. The bride carried a bouquet of pink roses and green daisies accented with blue streamers over a white bible.Delores Friske, sister of the bride, was maid of honor and Cathy Lewison was bridesmaid. They wore floor length princess-style gowns, one wearing blue and one wearing green with white flowered bouqueted design. They wore blue and green nylon net veils and carried bouquets of blue or green daisies with white carnations.The bride's personal attendants were Miss Debbie Badgerow and Kim Reiubold of Sioux City.Best man was Jerry Renken, brother of the groom, of Le Mars and Larry Schmidt of Laremore, N.D. was grooms man. Jim's personal attendant was JohnSchwaiger of Arlington, Virginia. Ushers were Terry Van Roekel of Orange City and Lonnie Gustafson of Sioux City. Ring bearers were Davey and Danny Renken. Candles were lit by Karen Renken and Ronnie Hoffman.Soloist was Debbie Badgerow singing We Have Only Just Bogun and With This Ring. The organist was Mr 3. Marlys Oetken.The wedding reception was held for 200 guests at the church basement.Dining room hostess were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Berkenpas and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Friske. At the guest book was Mrs. Patricia Shuitz of Lawton, Oklahoma.Marianne Ludwigs and Frances Miester of Merrill poured punch- Mrs. Shirley Renken of Le Mars and Mar jane Rude of Rochester, New York poured coffee. Mrs. Carl Balk of Moville and Mrs. Jean Van Roekel of Orange City cut the wedding cake. Kitchen help was Mrs. Edna Hasen-bank and Mrs. Dorothy Hope.Waitresses wereShirley Repp, Charlene Vander Schaaf, Maryann Balk, Ardith Kleihauer, Kim Reinbold and Benita Boet-ger.The wedding couple opened their own wedding presents assisted by Miss Dottie Hardsaik, Lee AnnFiuhr, Connie Yeomans and Cindy Jones, all of Sioux City.The couple took a wedding trip to the Black Hills.The couple will be living at 211% West First Street in Sper.cer where the bridegroom is presently employed with the John Deere.
