of cordial interest to their many friends is the announcement made by Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Parks of the marriage of their daughter, Kathryn Maxine to James Hollis Vann, on May 31 at the home of the bride’s cousin, Mrs. L. B. Strickland of Reynolds. Rev. L. B. Strickland performed the ceremony in the presence of his family a few close friends. The bride was lovely in a navy two-piece suit with white acces sories. Her corsage was white car nations. Mrs. Vann received her education at Butler High School, being a graduate in this institution with the class of 1945. She was employ ed as typist and clerk at Warner Robins until recently. The groom also attended the lo cal school. He served several years in the armed forces of our coun try, spending many months in the European theater. Since his dis charge he has been employed by Wallace Brothers Lumber Co. The bridal couple left imme mediately for a brief wedding trip planned en route. For traveling Mrs. Vann wore an aqua two two piece suit with white chiffon blouse and off the face hat Mr. and Mrs. Vann are now re siding at Chamblee, Ga.
