Another of the military weddings of the spring was solemnized last night, when Miss Luele Lee Garrard, daughter of the commanding officer at Fort Myer. Col. Joseph Garrard, and Mrs. Garrard, became the bride of Lieut. Victor S Foster, U. S. A. The ceremony was performed at 8:30 o’clock in tho Administration building at the fort, the Rev. Dr. Randolph H. McKlm. rector of the Church of tho Epiphany, officiating. The flag of the nation was conspicuous among the daisies and palms which adorned the Improvised chancel. The cavalry color predominated.Two little ribbon girls, Miss Floy Barn-hard t and Miss Margaret Treat, wearing white frocks, preceded the bridal party, carrying chains of daisies, which formed the aisle to the chancel. Six ushers, fel-low-officcrs of the bridegroom in the cavalry branch of the service, wearing full dress uniform, led the bridal party, which included six bridesmaids in lingerie gowns of white batiste and lace, withbands of yellow satin and made overyellow satin, all carrying ropes of whitedaisies lied with yellow tulle. The maidof honor. Miss Valeria Garrard, sister of the brido, preceded the bride, who walked with her father. The ushers were Capt. Julian Lindsay, Capt. Warren Dean, Capt. Kirkpatiick, Lieut. W. L. Moose, Lieut. William Overton, and Lieut. Russell.Miss Eleanor Grant, of Cincinnati,; Miss Edna Hfrshinger, of Charlotte, N. C ; Miss Linnor Gooch, of Covington. Kv.; Miss Mary White and Miss Laura White, of Barnsvllle, Md., and Miss Clare Swift, of Washington, were the bridesmaids. The maid of honor wore a gown of yellow marquisette over satin of the same shade, and carried a bouquet of yellow # daisies. The bride’s gown was of white i chantilly lace over white satin, with a court train of point de Vcnise lace. She wore a tulle veil trimmed with lace, which was worn by her grandmother. She carried a sliower bouquet of lilies of the valley and gardenias.The bride was given in marriage by her father, who wore the full dress uniform of his rank. The bridegroom, who was attended by Dr. H. H. Bailey, also wore his uniform. A reception with dancing followed the ceremony. Mrs. Foster, mother of the bridegroom, assisted Col. and Mrs. Garrard.Lieut. Foster and his bride left Washington for New York last night. They will be at home after June 15 at Fort Myer, where Lieut. Foster is stationed.Dr. and Mrs. George F. Becker entertained at an informal dinner last night in honor of Miss Bayard and Mr. Underwood, whose engagement has Just beenannounced.
