Robert Voelklis Residing in Monroe After WeddingMarriage vows were exchanged by Miss Elizabeth (Libby) von Arx and Robert Gene Voelkli, both of Monroe, Thursday, Julv 2. in the Calvary First Baptist Church at Hickory, N.C.Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. von Arx, 1310 19th St.. and Mrs. and Mrs. James Voelkli, 2114 11th Ave.The marriage took place in the church which the bride’s grandfather. J.B. Mace, helped to organize and finance. She was given in marriage by her grandfather, an ordained deacon of the church. Rev. D. Couch, pastor, officiated.A floor-length gown, empire-styled, in aqua crepe, fashioned with a crepe skirt and bodice of white lace with an aqua chiffon overlay, was worn by the bride.The bodice was styled with short sleeves and a scooped neckline. A headpiece of crepe roses and petals held her veil and she carried a cascade of stephanotis and gladioli, with ivy.A reception followed at the church, attended by friends and relatives of the bride’s family who reside on the east coast.The newlyweds honeymooned in the east and are residing at 1109^ 16th Ave.Mrs. Voelkli is a graduate of Monroe High School and attended the Green County Teachers College. She is employed by Moore Business Forms. Mr. Voelkli attended schools at Monroe and Cuba City. He is employed at the Dog ‘n Suds Drive-In, Monroe.
