The [bride is Ithe daughter of Mr and Mrs. Laverne Harness1 of Orono, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr.. and Mrs. Lloyd Horner of Oshawa.Baskets of pink peonies and orange blossoms formed the floral setting and white satin bows designated the spews.the Rev. S. R. Henderson, R.A,, B.D, The cereimony was performed by Mr. R, G. Harle played the wedding music and Miss Amy T. Sargeant, of Oshawa, sang “0 Promise Me” before the eeremony and “Bemuse” during the signing of the register. Given in marriage by her brother,Mr. ThornaiS' Harness, the bride worebu0]JuthtonothanthWilmetinthe5er-rtsilleforheite,tomdeeplan.ar-lle-ingDene-a floor-length gown of white net over satin. The low round neck-line styled the lace bodice. A headdress of net and seed pearls held her finger IJL tip veil and she carried a white bible II n crested with pink roses with long sit reamers kniotted with rose buds. Her only jewellery was a pearl and rhinestone necklace, the gift of the bridegroom.The matron of honor, Mrs. Thomas Harness, sister-in4aw oif the bride, was gowned in turquoise taffeta. The senior bridesmaid, Miss Jean Harness, sister of the bride, was in pink and the junior bridesmaid, Miss Vera Horner, only sister of the bridegroom,, was in yellow. All wore pleated head-dresses and mittens 'to match their gowns, and carried nosegays- of carnations and sweet peas. Mr. Doanld T. Homer of Hallifax, was best man for his brother. The ushers were Mr. Everett Harness, brother of the bride, and Mr, Cecil Williams, Oshawa.The reception was held in the Balmoral Hotel, Bowmanville. To receive the guests the bride’s mother chose a cedar rose crepe dress with navy accessories. The ’bridegroom’s mother, who assisted, was wearing navy blue sheer with grey accessories, and both wore corsages of carnations and sweet peas. The bride’s table, which was decorated with vases of flowers, was centred with a three-tier wedding cake nested in tulle and flanked with pink tapers. Mixed flowers and pink and white ribbon decorated the tables *of the eld guests.rs.
