(From Tuesday’s Daily.)In the office of Clerk of Courts S. M. Bentley at noon today occurred the nuptials of Stephen Singleton, aged ?8, and Mrs, Mary Pangburn, aged 69. both of La Porte City. Rev. J. H. Baueru-fienrl of the Evangelical church officiating.Though the clouds were weeping and the weather was gloomy the clerk’s office was a cheery place, and the happy faces of the contracting parties did not reflect in the least the gloom of the weather conditions outs-ide.The couple were accompanied by Mrs, Noble and Mrs. Daggett, both of theirhome city.The records show that each has been wedded twice before.The groom is an old soldier and a man highly respected and esteemed in his home town. He is an old soldier and a gardener by occupation. He has a comfortable home and is spry and active for one of his years. In fact, he appears more like one who is 68 than one who is ten years older. His bride is a woman also highly esteemed and their friends Will wish for them a long and happy married life.t
