ABBOTT-DRUMThe home of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Drum of Craigville was tastefully decorated Wednesday in honor of marriage of their daughter, to Mr. Merritt C. Abbott. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Borkovt of Tocsin at 7$0 o’clock, before a number of relatives and friends of the young oobjple^ At the a bo vo mentioned hour ^tti# irriiio and groom, accompanied by Iiss Stella Wibel and Mr. Aria Fry. took their stand beneath a lace bower, erected In the parlor where, amid the strains of a soft piano solo, played by Mr. Engle, the two were united for were in the city yesterday evening. A deal has Just been concluded between them whereby the latter traded a farm in Michigan to the former for bis general store at Domestic. Their business here was the closing up of the deal, life. Immediately following a two-course wedding supper was served, during which Miss Maude Shaft presided at the piano. The bride's table was a beautiful creation ol‘ dowers aud ribbon and seated at. it were the bridal party. Mr. and Mrs. Drum, Mrs. Abbott, Rev. and Mrs. Borkert spul Mr. Engle. Repairing to the parlors congratulations followed. .Many handsome gifts wore received. The bride wove for the occasion a beautiful white silk dress, while the maid of honor wore a white silk over pink. The groom and best man were dressed in black. The. young people will make their home in Craigville, where Air. Abbott is a hustling young business man. His bride is a popular young lady and accomplished. Many guests from Bluffton, Fort Wayne and Williamsport were present besides the many friends of Craigville and vicinity.
