BarbaraShowerg,;eesn[•a Miss Barbara Greive, bride-d | elect of Paul Michalec, was hon ored with a miscellaneous shower at the Catholic ParishGym from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. it | Sunday, February 3.The guests were registered by Mrs. Jimmie Lloyd. Gifts were received and displayed by Misses Judy Greive, Connie j j and Caroline Michalec, Ruby Puentes, Jo Ann Henkhaus and Mrs. Billy Joe Mikesh and were recorded by Miss Isabel Fuen-tes.The honoree was wearing a blue silk dress with jacket and was presented a corsage of white carnations with red centers.The mothers of the honored couple, Mrs. Edmund Greive, in a two-piece wool suit, and Mrs. Louis Michalec, in a cream silk dress; and grandmothers, Mrs. Adam Wendel and Mrs. Henry Greive in navy blue,were presented corsages of white carnations.Brenda Michalec and Kathy Koehler escorted the honoreeto her seat to the strains of the bridal march played by Connie Michalec at the piano.An entertaining program was presented under the direction of Miss Mary Ann Havel.Margie Welfl, Doris Aschen-beck, Anna Marie and Rosalie Patek with Marilyn Welfl at the piano sang “Melody ofLove” and “Moonlight Bay.” Connie Michalec rendered “O Promise Me” on the piano. Readings were presented by Judy Greive and Beverly Michalec, entitled “A Secret” and “A Wish For The Bride.”brother, Hugo Koenig of Round Top; and five grandchildren. Koenig Funeral Home was incharge of the services.Miss Greive graciously thanked everyone for the gifts and the hostesses for the hospitality and their gift of chinaware and crystal. She also extended an invitation to all to attend the wedding.The refreshment table was laid with a white Maderia cut-work cloth centered with a cupid arrangement, carrying out the Valentine theme in red and white. The large white sty-rafoam heart, sprinkled withtiny red hearts, formed the background for the red carnations and cupid figurines.The white frosted sheet cake was centered with two pink hearts and red roses in each corner. The inscription on the cake read “We love you Barbara” and “Best wishes to you, Paul.” The base of the cake was encircled with a red satin ruffle. Judy Greive and Connie Michalec served the cake squares while Mrs. Billy Joe Mikesh alternated at the coffee service. They were assisted in serving by Misses Rosalie Patek, Jo Ann Henkhaus, Ruby and Isabel Fuentes.Mrs. Joe Patek Sr., Mrs. Emil Hajek Sr. and Mrs. Adolph Migl were chairmen for the group of one hundred and three hos-Gazette—Shiner.
