DUTH HAVEN. MICHIGAN. FICHRISTMASLACOTAOn Christmas Day at the homeof Mr. and Mrs. E. Thomas, Laoota,occurred a very pretty wedding,when their daughter, Rose Thomas, was united in matriage to Walter Variell, of Morris, I1LAt high noon, to the strains ofthe wedding march played by MissGertrude Bassett, cousin of thebride, the bridal party took theirplaoes under an arch of white andgreen, where Rev. G. A. Bowles,■poke the words thst made themhusband and wife. Miss AldaVariell of Douglas, acted as maidof honor and Mr. John Thomas asbest man.Tbe bride was very charminglyattired io pearl grey silk, and oar-riedfa bouquet of bride’s roses andwhite carnations. The groomwore the con vtnticra black. After hearty congratulations, theywere ushered into the dining roomwhere a throe oourse dinner wasdecorations were of holly andbells. The gifts werenumerous and beautifuthe high esteem in which the bridegroom are held. Miss LibbioThomas, sister of the bride, wasmistiess of ceremonies. The guestsfrom out of town were: HenryBrownSteve Variell and wife, Bravo;served by the Misses Minnibel •Variell and Ethel Thomas. ThenTrundle and wife, John Trumble. iWalter Cole and wife.
