Bixler played the traditional wedding march as the bridal party took their places at the altar, .and recessional as they left it. She atecLaccompanied-Mrs. Joe Daugherty of Ames, friend of the bride, when she ' sang* ; “Be-cause^and-'AwDawning’-’-precedr*ing the ceremony and '‘The Lord’s Prayejr” as they knelt at th e altar;••• The bride, given ih ; marriage by her father, was beautiful in a gown of nylon net over white taf-fetar.-the-fitted~bodice-andfingcrlength sleeves of which were of Chantilly lace. A wide off the shoulder ruffle outlined the net yoke.. The full net skirt, fell into a; long/cathfedradtxa^ was edged with wide lace. Her qnly ornament was a string of pearls, a gift of the groom. The finger tip veil was held in place with a satin arid lace heart, shaped halo, and was. also edged in matching lace. Her moon-glow bouquet wap of white Carnations, centered with cream colored gladioli, and tied with satin ribbons. vMardella DeWall of Pocahontas, sister of the groom, v. served as bridesmaid and- Mi as Ardea Schwindemann of Lehigh/ college roommate of the, bridd, .seryed^ as maid of honor.-They wore identical gowns of orchid net over satinwith matching capes./Their headdresses were styled like, that of,bouquets were of lavender and yellow gladioli centered with yellow roses. #Janet and Joyce DeWall, twin sisters of the groom, jn white nylon over satin gowns, scattered flower petals from hand crocheted baskets on the white carpeted aisle •before the bride “as she came to the altar,* *The groom was attended byRobert Schmidt, brother of thebride, and .
