MISS PINKSTON HONOREDWITH WEDDING SHOWERLast Wednesday afternoon. MissEvelyn Pinkston was honored bv a•shower, following1 the announcement of her engagement to Mr. T. B. Culpepper of Longview. Texas. Many of her friends were present and the shower was carried out in a unique way by the bride-to-be having to follow “rainy weather” or “July Showers” clues to find her gifts It was a total surprise—thus it was all the more joyous to her.The shower was given by the Church of Christ ladies, with Misses Grace Lee Griggs and Lera Jordan acting as hostesses in the latter’s home.Delicious refreshments were served to Misses Evelyn Pinkston, honoree. Dot Estes, Anna Wurtz, Ma«ie Underwood, Marie Garett, Virginia Garett, Ozell Vest, Fern Seals, Gen-sdames Arno Roggen-stein, J. W. Stidham. J. B. Jordan, J. I. Ragsdale, Tho. C. Hogan, A. II. Tate, Jody Pinkston, and hostesses, Miss Lera Jordan and Grace Lee Griggs.Miss Evelyn Pinkston received many beautiful gifts and pleasing congratulations from her friends.
