REQUEST FOR BIDS Bids are requested for a police patrol car to the following specifications. All bids are to be accompanied with a bond or certified check in an amount equal to 20% of the bid price. Bids may be mailed to the Township Clerk, 300 George St., Harrison, Ohio 45030 or by personal service to same address. Bids must be re ceived by the Board Clerk by 7:30 P.M. Aug. 22, 1984, a board regular meeting at which time bids will be Hamilton County Sheriff's specifications for patrol cars (full size). Model: Latest 1985 full police car package with all the latest equipment features and items specified herein. Type capacity: Four door - six passenger V-8 engine, high -performance general purpose police ve hicle with heavy duty com ponents for maximum durabi lity. Chassis: Steel - strongly reinforced. Equipped with police type heavy duty springs, shock absorbers and stabilizers. The type of front suspension used to make the vehicle corner well front and rear sway control. Wheel base: minimum of 112.0 inches. Engine: V-8 cylinder, high performance gasoline type, hydraulic valve lifter and oil bath. (Full pressure lubrica tion system). Replacement element type air cleaner: replaceable cartridge type oil filter, 2/belt pulley for in creased engine cooling cap acity approximately two hours when idling, equipped with a 180 degree thermo stat. Cubic inch displace: mini mum 350 cid. Cooling system: heavy duty - large capacity - five blade minimum with fan shroud. Transmission: automatic heavy duty. Axles: manufacturer’s heavy duty - front and rear with positraction. Wheel tires: five extra heavy duty 15’’ wheels with five fabric belted radials *‘GR’’ type. Police type high performance. Brakes: heavy duty power disc (front). Steering: manufacturer’s power steering. Electrical: twelve volt heavy duty battery - 80 amp. minimum heavy duty alter nator - 80 amp - minimum with ampmeter. Seats: front, heavy duty bench seat with heavy duty springs, cushion and back heavy duty arms for support of back seats. (Fleet model not acceptable). Dark blue color preferred. Back: stan dard as supplied by current models. Lights and accessories: lighting shall be manufactur er’s standard plus the follow ing: a. Halogen spotlight - six’’ lens - left windshield mount ed - ‘‘Unity’’ b. an additional dome light must be mounted, over the center of the front seat just above the windshield. Dome lights shall be controlled by interior switches only c. door switches shall not operate dome lights Air: factory installed air conditioning. Mirrors: outside rear vision, left and right side. Interior rear vision, day/ night type. Speedometer: calibrated speedometer, calibrated in two mile increasements to 120 miles per hour. Exhaust: dual or single of the type supplied by manu facturer for the engine supplied. Wipers: multi-speed ele ctric windshield wipers with washers. Heater: thermostatic con trolled fresh air heater with defrosters. Defogger: rear window electric type. Trunk releases: inside operated, electric type within drivers reach. Gauges: oil pressure, tem perature and ampmeter gauges, lighted and install ed. Cannot be mounted on top of dash. Glass: tinted glass on all windows and windshield. Gas caps: locking .type same key for fleet. Floor mats: heavy duty black rubber front and rear. Trunk light: automatic actuated switch when truck is opened. Hood latch: the hood latch shall be mounted inside the passenger compartment so the hood cannot be opened from outside the vehicle. The release shall be the pull cable type and readily accessable to the driver. Back-up lights etc: manu facturer’s standard type. Rear license plate brackets. Front and rear bumper guards - rubber faced. Stan dard: sun visors. Cigarette lighter. Single key locking system - separate key for each vehicle. Parking brake warning light. Rear windows and doors to be inoperable from inside. All vehicle to be undercoated. Color: white over black. Roof gutters: permanently welded to roof, if available. Vehicles are to be com pletely serviced. All equip ment completely installed and adjustments which are required to prepare the ve hicle for immediate and con tinuous operation made upon delivery. Donald Lawrence Kaeser, W. Harrison, were united in marriage at Ft. Benning’s Main Post Catholic Chapel with Rev. Joseph O’Keefe officiating. Denise Canton was her sister’s matron of honor and Karl Kaeser was the best man. A reception immediate ly following was held at the Fort Benning Officer's Club. Parents of the bride are Joseph and Cynthia Ausserer of Saginaw, Mich. and the groom’s parents are Jeanne Kaeser, W. Harrison, In., and the late Willard Kaeser. The couple are living at Ft. Ruckers, Ala., where Don has just completed helicopter training on the ‘‘Scout.” 2nd Lt. and Mrs. Donald Kaeser
