Cook officiated in the 8 p.m. wedding.The bride is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dominic Barbatano. Mr. Tayek is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Tayek. 5482 Hollywood Ave.. Maple Heights.The bride was given in marriage by her brother. Salvatore Barbatano. Mary Pronesti was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Harry (Kathi) Henderson and .Sally Pronesti. Kai-llyn Chiyst was flower girl.Richard Tayek served as best man. Frank Cirivello and Dennis Strieker ushered guests. Joseph Pronesti was ripg bearer.The 7 p.m. reception was held at American Legion Post12 Home.The bride is a graduate of Mundelein College. Chicago, where she received a degree in communications. She is a former staff writer for The Journal. Lorain.Mr. Tayek was graduated, from Ohio University with a communications degree. He is a former newsman for WEOL Radio and former news director for WZLE. Lorain. He is studying forhis master’s degree at The University of Akron.The bridal couple will reside at 296 Spicer St.. Akron.Showers were given by Mrs. Charles Hildebrand, Mrs. Robert Tayek and Mrs, Sylvester Phillips; by Mrs. Joseph Pronesti. Mary and Sally Pronesti; and by Mrs. Harry Henderson. Mrs. Ann Sirna and Mrs. Frances Slaroa.
