Unconfirmed reports from Suzhou say the Amoy hinterland earthquake has killed at least 10,000 people with initial tallies previously at 400 and 2,000 injured. Several villages and towns are described as wiped out.
The notice states that from the start of March 1918 any person firm or corporation using five barrels of flour or more per month to manufacture bread cakes or other bakery products for sale must first obtain a license called Baker's License from the Flour Controller.
