Maple Creek Girlguiding unit disbands after years idle
The Maple Creek News-Times reports the town’s Girlguiding unit officially disbanded on Friday after years of inactivity. A mural in the Royal Canadian Legion recounts Sparks Brownies Embers Girl Guides and Pathfinders with songs and opening lines still visible. The Legion space was the group’s longtime home and the farewell event included a clear-out at the Legion on Maple Street.
