Footbridge over Namoi discussed by Shire council
West Manilla residents urged a Namoi crossing near the Manilla sale yards. The President asked for an engineer report and an estimate for a 135 foot span footbridge with end approaches. Proposals included dual concrete pillars with two large girders, two feet above flood level, to be built by contract. A deputation will confer with the mayor and town clerk to seek a feasible, reasonably priced scheme.
