Manilla Council Meets amid Land Lease and Water Extensions
Manilla Municipal Council held its Tuesday session with Uy Mayor presiding. Discussion covered seven year lease extension on old golf links land, potential grazing rights, and a tender call by the Town Clerk. Officials reviewed water and sewerage surveys for North Manilla, with a £120 capital cost if construction proceeds, and resolutions for surveys signed by the Mayor and Town Clerk. The Manilla Business Mens’ Association sought inclusion in a regional art tour and a local public holiday on November 18, but approval was denied for the holiday under the Holidays Act.
