Earle Page sets out a national security oriented program stressing cooperation within the Empire and with the United States to boost trade, industry, population growth, transport, and defence. The plan includes tax and price measures for agriculture, rural development, and a transport board. It also calls for decentralised administration,/postal reform, and renewed emphasis on immigration and social security.
Industrial trouble caused Wednesday sales to be postponed. Four thousand one hundred twenty two cattle yarded with fair quality. Trade showed good demand for light weight steers. heavy bullocks and prime vealers scarce. cows moderate. Prices: bullocks £15 16s, cows £10 11s, vealers £9 10s.
Homebush Selling Agents' Association will revert to selling days on Mondays and Thursdays at Homebush starting October 25. The previous three day order Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays will be abolished. The Railway Department will try to provide additional trucks as needed.
