At the Mandowa Ship monthly meet a detter from the Halls Creek Progress Association advised residents are prepared to contribute £60 toward cement for concrete crossings at Maky Creek 29 miles from Manilla and Ryans Gully 31.3 miles from Manilla. Council will consider the project after the Shire Engineer's report with an estimated total cost about £620 and cement cost about £120 if sourced in Manilla. A December meeting was tentatively set to decide.
