Council considers long term lease for Show Cattle yards
The Show Secretary said the committee aimed to build yards on land recently offered by Miss McKeon, seeking tenant rights for about seven years. Ald. Kennedy and others debated terms with seven years favored by most, two to three years opposed, and a vote carried. The council also discussed collecting outstanding rates and a ratepayer fairness stance. Barraba cricket team beat Tamworth 118 to 111.
