Mr H. M. Freeburgh, manager of the Commonwealth Bank in Manilla, is transferred to the Gunnedah branch after two years in Manilla. He served as President of the Manilla Rotary Club, treasurer of Manilla Ambulance, and a committee member of the Bowling Club, Show Society, Hospital Carnival and Jubilee Carnival. Leslie C. Only of Orange, a baker, was fined £10 in Orange Court for failing to deliver bread within three miles of the bakehouse amid labour shortages. The judge noted the defence did not excuse noncompliance with regulations.
