Golf Par Competition and Four Ball Event At Club
Weather and course conditions were favorable yet scores in the par competition ran poor. Members await Geo Mills visit tomorrow for a four ball challenge where partners and opponents are to be arranged by players. A general meeting of members and associates is tonight at 5pm in the club house. Tomorrow's pro services require name submissions to the Secretary. Sundays flag event was won by C. Annis with 4 strokes over L. Frank. Tonight’s committee meeting is at 7:30pm. Par handicap scores from Wednesday April 27 list many down figures led by D. C. Oge at 13 down and F. Swain at 17 down. The flag competition winner was Mrs. Hartley. Avenue hole competition is next Sunday. May 11 mixed foursomes will be played with self-selected partners. Associates’ opening tomorrow May 4 is to be attended with guests. Show car stands may be arranged after the Manilla Agricultural Society AGM on May 14 at 4pm.
