The Manilla Amateur Anglers Club will convene this Thursday to choose members for honorary ranger appointments in the Manilla district. Chief Secretary approval has been received, noting the club’s effort to preserve Wampi and Manilla River fish stocks. Several new fish species are being sent to the Fisheries Department for definitive identification. The fish reportedly appeared recently, and the club suspects possible poisoning in at least two illness cases linked to these fish.
