Manilla Council Moves to Lift Wax Match Ban
Manilla's Municipal Council agreed to aid the Manilla Business Mens Association in pressing for lifting the ban on selling wax matches. Ald. Wilshire opposed, arguing safety and that stores rather than users were targeted. After a divisive debate, the motion failed then the council granted the association's request.
